how can we tell ourselves our lives are justified when so many others are left behind? left with so little, so little to call their own left with grief and anger and resentment and hatred hatred for those who have so much more hatred for those who do not even acknowledge their existence hatred for us we're the ones, the ones with the power because today money means power and so much more we're the ones with the piles of useless garbage useless garbage we call possessions we ourselves are possessions possessions of a system it means more now to own than to think feeding ourselves on greed and blindness looking forever inward, ignoring our own demise longing for greater happiness do we understand the repercussions of this act? do we for a moment acknowledge the impact? we undermine entire nations killing ten times removed but does this release us from guilt?
